| The New World, how did I miss this? It's magical and wonderful. beautifully filmed with awesome use of light and sound to create something great. A long way from an action film, when there is action it's horrible and brutal and over just as fast as it should be. But it looks great, the story is incredible and the acting fabulous. See it, you'll want to play Maesltrom immediately.

| Don't see it! I wanted to gouge out my own eyes...it's one of the few films I've walked out of before the end. If you like slow paced cinema which is basically a showcase for stunning scenery and a gradual exploration of new life in an unfamiliar world, then you might like this (I'm building it up here - it really is incredibly slow, think Thomas Hardy and his obsession with describing each individual blade of grass). If you enjoy plot, character development and/or action, then this movie will leave you very cold. I'm trying to give a balanced opinion here, but this film was a wasted opportunity to make something great.

| It looked and "felt" amazing but bored the arse off me, I think it could have benefitted from being about 1/2 an hour shorter.

| Yep, seen that it's well gritty, loads of mosquito filled jungles and starving conquistadores- can't remember much of the plot so I'll check it out again.
