| We've been watching the original series of BSG, and we have reached two conclusions; 1. Its a bit crap. 2. The Starbuck / Apollo 'friendship' is pretty homoerotic. Definitely some repressed homosexual tension there. All that running around in weird sports gear, and manly clapping of shoulders, going off on long 'patrols', and getting aerated when the other is threatened/insulted. Clearly Serina (most pointless and most drawn out death ever, I think they just didnt want Jane Seymour anymore) and Cassiopeia (I havent quite worked out when she went from 'socialator', ie whore, to nurse...) are just a cover.

Gotta agree, its all a bit camp. Almost as bad as Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century (Check out the episode with the futuristic band..... )
There is no way you can disprove to me that all reality we percieve, was concieved in the mind of a plastic troll. Now hand me my pills.

A few years back when all those shows were repeated we lovd them becsue they were so unbelievebly rubbish. I can highly commend Space !999 (Or 'Space Nine Pounds Ninety Nine, That Was The Buget') for similar mockery.

The homoerotic bit amused me because I had always missed it on previous viewings, and I'd assumed the sexual tension between Lee and Kara was made up for the new series (which is exponentially better), but apparently not...

I'm just amused by how, each episode, the 'special guest star' is quite possibly an old mate of Lorne Greens from when he was in cowboy shows Though it is amazing how many reasonably famous stars are in there: Patrick Macnee, Fred Astaire, that bloke who played the 'Man who chose the wrong week to give up cocaine' in Airplane...Not to mention Ed Begley Junior who seems to have no purpose other than to play 'blond viper pilot on the left' who stands next to 'token overweight viper pilot' It is great fun to watch.

Gotta agree, its all a bit camp. Almost as bad as Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century (Check out the episode with the futuristic band..... ) On an aside from the main point (agreed with): Am I the only one who's recently seen some of the Buck Rogers stuff and thought that Tweekee's head was... well... a little bit phallic?
