Just got this off the Uk-Freeform mailing list if anyone's interested
"Getting closer now to the inaugural Epicon, to be held on October the
1st in the College Arms in central London, during the afternoon and
evening. We're planning to run two games in succession -- a rerun of
Veni, Vidi, Bassethwaite, which was a big hit at Gencon back in 2000,
and also a brand new game set on enigmatic space station Bassethwaite
5. Haven't decided yet which order they'll be in.
We'd like to get an idea of numbers for these games, so could you

"The crew sent out to build the fifth of the Bassethwaite space stations thought it a dream come true when they found a mysterious alien shell so close to where they had planned to construct their own. They moved in and took over; now, twenty years later, the station is a port of call for refugees, smugglers, businessmen, diplomats, and travellers from a hundred worlds. Humans and aliens (and sentient Uplifted ferrets) mix and mingle for business, pleasure, negotiations and occasionally conflict. But now the peace that has lasted for most of the station's life is threatened...
The year is 2257. The name of the place is Bassethwaite 5."
