| For some reason, I am getting an error which claims my post is entirely composed of 'html, images or emoticons' when it is simply text and I cannot post. Any help?

| Here is the exact error. It only seems to happen in the general forum at the moment:

Have you cut and pasted from another application? Possibly Microsoft Word?

| I had cut and pasted some quotes from another thread the first time I did it. But the rest was all typed in situ. Subsequent attempts were cut and pasted from the original thread or from notepad (where I copied the text to to save it when I rebooted). It seems to have worked now, after a reboot and a few hours away from the house, so it was either: a) an intermittant error which has fixed itself somehow or b) You've twiddled some magic knobs down in the Rule7 basement and got the goblins to fix it. Either way, sorted. I'll let you know if it happens again.

I can assure you Balor that no Rule7 nobs were twiddled.
When copying and pasting it's sometimes better to use the "Source" mode if you're using IE (Button in the lower left to move from design to source view), if you're working with firefox that's not an issue. But this will show you all the code for your submission, it could be that you're posting everything inside an InstantForum tag or an HTML Div or Span, which isnt allowed.
If anyone has more problem with this issue post it here, there is another thread in the support area related to cutting and pasting from Microsoft Word, which is why I asked about that. However the fact that once you're browser cache had cleared and you had pasted from notepad it worked, suggests to me that it was a client-side error. Would be nice to be able to pin down exactly what causes it though.
